Double Slider Windows - LuxeWindows- Doors and Windows

Double-Slider Windows

Double slider windows give you the flexibility to open either sash horizontally. Adjust ventilation from the side that suits your room while keeping the opening within the window frame. Luxe Windows and Doors can help you coordinate this practical design with your home’s finishes.

Comfort Starts With the Right Window

Your window’s glass, frame, weather seals, and installation all contribute to indoor comfort. When closed, an awning window draws its sash against the frame’s seals to help limit unwanted air movement. We’ll help you review the glazing options and performance information available for your selected model, so you can compare products based on their documented specifications.

Practical Operation for Everyday Use

Awning windows open with a crank handle, allowing you to adjust the opening without lifting or sliding a sash. This can make them a convenient choice above counters or in other locations where reaching the window is difficult. Because the sash projects outward, its placement should allow enough clearance from walkways, decks, and other outdoor spaces.

Bring Daylight and Ventilation Together

Awning windows can be used on their own or combined with fixed windows to introduce both daylight and fresh air. A wider, shorter awning window may suit a space where wall height is limited, while a combination arrangement can accommodate a larger opening. We’ll help you consider the proportions, operating sections, and privacy requirements of your room.

Because, ultimately, isn't that the essence of having windows in your walls?

Choose an Awning Window That Fits Your Needs

The best configuration depends on more than the size of the opening. Consider how you’ll reach the handle, how much ventilation you want, and whether the window faces a private garden, a walkway, or a neighbouring property.

Make Your Windows Your Own

Coordinate your windows with your home’s architecture and interior finishes. Explore frame colours, grille patterns, and glass options to create a consistent appearance throughout your project. Available combinations vary by window model. Our team can help you confirm which options work with your selections.

Available Colors

Choose a window finish that complements your brickwork, siding, trim, and interior décor. A lighter frame can blend into its surroundings, while a darker finish can create a more defined outline. Explore the colour samples below and ask our team about interior and exterior finish combinations for your selected model. Review a physical sample before making your final choice, as colours can look different on a screen.

Grille Patterns And Designs

Grilles add decorative lines to your window glass, helping you create a traditional appearance or coordinate with existing architectural details. Consider the pattern, proportions, and finish alongside the window’s size. A simple arrangement can add definition while keeping much of the view open.

Internal grilles sit between the panes of an insulated glass unit. They create a divided-glass appearance while leaving the exposed glass surfaces smooth for cleaning. Ask about the profiles and finishes available for your window.

Simulated divided lites use bars applied to the glass surface to create the appearance of separate panes. Their raised profile adds depth and can complement traditional architectural styles. Available arrangements depend on the selected window system.

Find Your Preferred Grille Pattern

Explore the patterns below to see how different arrangements change the appearance of a window. Our team can help you select a design that suits the opening and coordinates with other windows in your home.

Rectangular

Horizontal and vertical bars create a regular arrangement of rectangular panes. This balanced pattern works well when you want a structured, traditional appearance.

Partial Coverage

Grille detailing is limited to part of the glass, leaving a larger area unobstructed. It adds a decorative accent while preserving an open view through the remaining glass.

Contour

A border-style arrangement places grille detailing near the edges of the glass. This frames the centre of the window and creates a distinctive geometric appearance.

Diamond Pattern

Diagonal lines form a repeating diamond design. This pattern adds decorative detail and can complement homes with traditional architectural features.

Divided Lites

A divided-lite arrangement gives the window the appearance of individual glass sections. The proportions and placement of the bars can be selected to complement the overall window design.

Glass Options for Privacy and Appearance

Your choice of glass affects the view, privacy, and appearance of a room. Alongside clear glass, ask about tinted and textured options for your selected window. Consider where the window faces and how the room is used. Privacy glass can obscure details while allowing daylight through, although the level of privacy varies with the glass pattern and lighting conditions.
